I love taking pictures of nature; wild and wonderful and of people having fun, laughing and playing.

 I am a third generation native Floridian and grew up on South Merritt Island, Florida.  I have always admired the beauty and grace of nature and wild animals particularly the birds and butterflies abundant in the area.  I grew up with outdoor family activities (camping and boating) that fostered my love of the nature and wildlife. 

I have loved taking pictures since my Dad bought my first Polaroid camera when I was about 8.  I have now found that my bird and butterfly photos are outstanding works of art.  I spend many hours in our small 8 foot boat watching and photographing the birds along the Banana River and Indian River.  One of my favorite places to bird watch is from our dock and deck off the Banana River on South Merritt Island. I also capture beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the unique setting of Merritt Island.

My husband Michael and I now enjoy travelling Florida (and Georgia, South Carolina etc) looking for interesting places to visit, take pictures and relax. We are not the tourist type, we like nature and quiet, not crowds.

Michael has an ingenious setup to transport our inflatable boat and motor so that we can pull off and launch almost anytime to get an up close view from the water.

I use a Nikon 3Dx and a Nikon D5000 with various lenses and filters (ultraviolet in particular). Most of the bird photos are taken with a Sigma zoom 150-400 mm lens.  The photos are cropped and edited with Photoshop. I do not do a lot of
